A Bit About Us

Tyler Cheeseman, our founder, originally planned to enter the Fire Academy after high school. But with a love for horticulture and the need for a summer job, he bought a lawnmower and a pick-up truck hoping to pick up a few lawns. What started as a summer hustle quickly turned into a full-fledged lawn care business. By the end of the season, he had more clients than expected and needed to hire a crew. Loving what he was doing, he chose to pursue the business full-time and put the Fire Academy on hold.

Fast forward nearly five years, TJC Landscapes is now thriving with over 150 residential and commercial clients. At just 22 years old, Tyler continues to lead the charge in growing the Landscaping Division — his true passion — while co-owner Melodie Cavanaugh oversees business operations. With 20 years of experience in Operations and Human Resources at the Executive Director level for multi-million-dollar companies, Melodie brings the structure and strategy to take the business to new heights.

We now operate a full-time Landscaping Division and a Lawn-Care Servicing Division. Most recently, we launched Pro Sod Solutions, expanding our offerings to include expert sod installation, replacement, and long-term lawn care. Backed by a young, dynamic team and strong leadership, TJC is proudly "mowin’ on up!"
